Privacy

Looking for a therapist is private. Here is everything this site collects, what happens to it, and how to make it disappear. It's short, because we collect very little.

If you contact a therapist

Your name, email, optional phone number, and message go to that therapist — and only that therapist. We store a copy so we can confirm it was delivered and investigate problems. We never sell it, share it, or use it for advertising. Nobody is notified that you're seeking therapy except the therapist you chose to write to.

If you browse

No ad trackers. No analytics pixels. No account required, so there's no profile of you to build.

If you're a therapist

Unclaimed listings show public information from the national NPI registry. Claiming uses your email for a sign-in link (a cookie keeps you signed in on your device). Everything else on your profile is what you chose to publish. Want the listing gone? One email. Same day. No questions asked.

Deletion

Email us and we'll delete your inquiry, your claim, or your entire listing — whichever you ask for. This applies to clients and therapists alike.

Actually Accepting is a directory, not a healthcare provider — we never see clinical records of any kind. If you're in crisis, call or text 988, any hour.
